I had the same situation. I downloaded the game from AppStore, when restored the progress, it hanged up at the end of loading.

My fix is what i said to uninstall and reinstall and start on other servers that if you still want to play the game, We can think that we got banned if we don't get pass the last loading part.

Sounds more like you guys may have crafted and equipped items that aren't available in the game yet.
