Help/Support itunnel_mux.exe crashes instantly

This was happening to me the other day and I found the perfect fix for it.

 

1) Remove existing iTunes and all Apple related software.

2) Install iTunes 12.0.1.26 (http://www.tunechef.com/how-to-uninstall-and-downgrade-itunes-12-1-x-to-12-0-1-26-version/)

3) Copy the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\ folder to C:\Program Files (x86)\Apple Mobile Device Support\

4) Edit Registry via regedit.exe. Add a string value "InstallDir" with the value data of "C:\Program Files (x86)\Apple Mobile Device Support" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Apple Inc.\Apple Mobile Device Support

5) Open Regedit.exe

6) Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Apple Inc.\Apple Mobile Device Support

7) Export this to a reg file.

8) Update iTunes.

9) Import contents of reg file exported earlier by double clicking this file

All is done, proceed to use itunnel_mux!

The file was removed. Any chance you could upload it again or was it not the best solution?

 

I keep giving up on getting lldb to work then eventually try again. I get same prob as OP, but was able to attach using iFunbox iTunnel combined with the lldb.exe file. However all that did was freeze game/device after attaching and say it was still debugging, and it never let me set watchpoints or even open iGG or hit continue to go back into game.  It just kept saying "still debugging" for over an hour b4 I gave up last time.

I installed iTunes 12.0.1.26, make sure first you uninstall iTunes and all related programs from control panel, like bonjour, mobile device support, etc. Then download that iTunes version, and right click the installer and run as administrator.
