Help/Support Non-Tethered jailbreak no longer working after restart.

I'm not sure if you've experienced this before

but I did the Volume/Powerbutton, and started unplugged, and proceeded plugged in.

the memory full message came up for a split second before my phone restarted to the apple logo. However, it stays on the logo for 2-3 min, then the screen flashes black, then goes back to the apple logo screen for another 2-3 min- still coming back unsuccessful so far, will keep tryin

Edit: Just read you had app on device already. If certificate recently expired you don't always need to redownload it. You can change the date back in your settings to a date when the certificate was working.. If it was revoked for "untrustworthy developer" though you'll need to delete and reinstall with impactor.

Is there a way to see if it was expired or revoked?

Yeah sometimes it will even turn off completely and to start it again you have to force restart holding down home and power for like 10 seconds..

Sounds like it got really close tho if you got the memory error.. Keep trying, and try the app too using same techniques if you installed that, or are able to use the date trick to open the already installed Pangu app.

Oh forgot one more thing- try resetting your network settings. Under settings /general /reset/ reset network settings. I read that can help (and did that) b4 I got mine rejailbroken when I was having issues.

Forgot network settings reset can solve problem sometimes.

Resetting the date had no effect so far, I'll continue with the VolUp/PB through the first website you sent me.

Would you be able to assist me on finding a detailed link about the impactor? And would that cause me to lose all of my current hacks/tweaks

You won't lose any tweaks. As soon as you are rejailbroken, regardless if you use website or app, cydia will reappear and all your tweaks, themes etc will be working again.

Cydia impactor is pretty simple to use. Just download it, install, hit "check for updates" in case by some chance it's not the latest version.

Open impactor with your device connected to computer, and make sure it shows up. There should be an option that says "install package/app" something like that. Select that, then drag and drop the .ipa file right onto the program. It'll ask for your iTunes email and password. Enter that, and it should install app. A common error is if you have 2 step verification with your profile, then you need to go to apple's website to get an app-specific password. I turned off 2 step verification (on the same website) after getting annoyed with the long passwords I had to type in.

I may just try the impactor on my surface pro, I assume the .ipa file will be one I download the from Pangu site?

also, do I need to delete my Cydia & PP apps on my phone before starting this?

Yes delete the old jailbreak apps from your device first. The file you download from the Pangu website will be an .ipa. Here's a good tutorial I found on using impactor.

You don't have to delete Cydia though.. Just the Pangu apps. And just to clarify you can't open Cydia correct? Because if /when you can then the jailbreak worked.

I cannot open Cydia. I'm about to go forward with the impactor and deleting the Pangu PP app

Sounds good. It's not too difficult. The hard part is the annoying state your device is in. You'll get it rejailbroken though. Just gonna take a few more tries.

I'll let you know how it goes! Currently downloading itunes&impactor and finding my Pangu .ipa.... Damn hotel wifi ?
