Can you make the background of your favicon transparent please?

Sure I can, but what font colour would you like? White will suit dark bg and black will suit light bg. 

 

 

Our current one is 260x260 so that means the browser resized the image itself.

Works fine for me. I don't recommend resizing a very small photo to a big one because it has it's limits. I have used this tool to resize images from 1024x768 to 550x350

Even using photoshop to resize my images causes a loss of quality

I think Photoshop lets you scale the size without pixelating it when you make changes in small dimensions

Works fine for me. I don't recommend resizing a very small photo to a big one because it has it's limits. I have used this tool to resize images from 1024x768 to 550x350

To resize my images, I just use Perfect Resize. You can resize photos to any size and it won't lose quality. I love it
