General What even is the point of the iPod touch in 2k17?

With iPhones able to do literally everything an iPod touch could do it just seems like a watered down iPhone.

 

The only reason I can think of is because of this woman in the store the other day said "my daughter asked for an iPhone for her birthday but I talked her down to an iPod touch" but even then with FaceTime and iMessages it's still basically just an iPhone without an LTE chip.

Yeah, quite useless other than the price difference. But I guess the price difference is due to the missing features.
