Help/Support Game File Editing Help

hey all ,

 

I have been trying to hack games lately by editing their game files through iBackupBot (cuz i am non-jailbroken) , The game i tried requires an internet connection to play but also has its game files stored on the device . the game file is a json file where its clearly written "money"=360 (thats the exact amount of money I hold) . I editted that and restored the backup as well , I was logged out of iCloud , Game center and switched of wifi as well . No changes took place. Does that mean the game is server-sided??

Depends on the game, somtimes the money you have in the game (in the file like you said) will change to your changed number. While, other times the game validates the number with the number with the server.
