Mediafire Download Issues

Heia people. I will explain my situation as good as possible to ensure you can hopefully give me some advise in an instant.

 

My problem

For about 3 days, all downloads (file type doesn't matter) were insanely slow. Probably you think it's because of my internet speed but no, in fact my internet is at an average of 40 mb/ps. I also took a screenshot of my latest speedtest.net result

 

For some reason it only appears to affect Mediafire, all other filehoster allow me to use fullspeed.

 

To describe the word 'slow' a bit more in my case

The download pepares as usual. After hitting the download button it also starts but the download speed is not shown or at 5 kb/s from my guess. That's not the only thing. After a few seconds the download aborts and a disappointing 'failed to download' is my result.

 

What you should might know

I recently changed the DNS of my IPv4 address. I don't know if that influences my download speed. I've set it to Google's public DNS 8.8.4.4

Either Mediafire's free speeds suck or they could be having server issues?

 

Did the problem start after changing the DNS or before?

After changing my DNS. I set it to 'Obtain DNS server address automatically'  however I know it was something different before but I can't remember.

Even if it was different, setting it to default shouldn't be a problem just for MediaFire.

 

Have you tried another browser? Maybe Internet Download Manager?

I tried Mozilla Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer (no addons) and Safari which means it's the same on my iPhone

Can you download the file completely and open it on your PC using a VPN?

 

Meh, just wait a few days. Maybe it'll solve itself. If it doesn't, contact your ISP.

Yes, it was like normally. I also restarted my router now to get a new IP-address without luck

It's either a MediaFire issue or your ISP issue.
