Help/Support What to look for in IDA

so i did my first IDA Hack on Tiny Towers and i looked up addcoins / addbux and this was from a tut

 

i had to look for

addcoins(ADD R2, R3 =hex// 1A 44)  

addbux(ADD R2, R3 =hex// 1A 44) 

 

and make it to (MOVS R2, R0 =hex// 02 1C)

 

so now i am trying a game on my own and i dont know what to look for to addcoins 

like do i look for ADD R2, R3 or something else thats where i get lost from idk if its the same.

 

sorry if this didnt make any since

 

OHH... also forgot i used a ARM to Hex Converter and Looked up ADD R2, R3 and MOVS R2, R0 

and the hex #### was different and thats where i get lost at

Not every game has 'Coins'. Play the game a bit, find what currency it uses and search it in IDA if your binary isn't sub_x.

the game i was working on had coins i was doing Jet Pack Joyride and couldn't find anything

also if i did find it would i be looking for anything with R2, R3 ?

Not necessarily. It doesn't always have to be R2, R3 in order to hack it.
