[Tutorial] How to Share/Record your iDevice's screen on a MAC using QuickTime!

Hello everyone,

 

This is a quick easy text tutorial on how to share/record your iDevice screen with mac over usb using Quicktime.

 

Why using quicktime?

- It's build in the latest OSX software on mac

- It's free

- Over usb is faster as wifi

- No complicated settup

 

Requirements:

- iDevice

- Mac

- Latest OSX with Quicktime Player

- A USB sync cable/lightning cable

 

How to:

1. Turn on Quicktime Player
2. Connect your iDevice with a USB cable to mac
3. Right click or just show more options in dock for Quicktime Player
4. Hit New Movie Recording
5. Hit the arrow up next to the record button and select your iDevice name
6. Done... You can also change settings for the audio device etc.

 

NOTE: if it's disconnecting your iDevice, just reopen Quicktime Player or reconnect your device.

I don't think Windows has this feature. Even the previous Mac's don't have this feature. OSX Yosemite exclusive.

yup i have been trying to look for a cracked reflector for mac but no luck on torrents or anything they all say they work but don't
