[URGENT] Rid yourself from the Evil of XModGames!

You've read the title correct my friend, our beloved modders have turned their backs on the jailbreak community and are committing nefarious acts against our people as I am typing this! Why you may ask? Well it's simple, they cannot mod their main games anymore so they're trying to cash out as quick as possible by releasing fake updates to common jailbreak tweaks (f.lux, Winterboard, iCleaner, etc) which will lead to horrid advertisements!

Oh no, not advertisements!

Fear not lad, there is a simple solution to get rid of these fiends.

Firstly, we must delete their main repository: www.xmodgames.com/cydia-repo/

Secondly, we must head into our filesystem to delete XMHelper.dylib and XMHelper.plist which are what gave you those fake updates. These can be found in /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries.

And finally, you will have to remove those fake updates and reinstall the tweaks from their original locations. You can find those fake tweaks by checking the repo that your apps are installed from. Scroll to the bottom of the app/tweak page and it'll show where it came from. https://i.imgur.com/l9CDLRo.jpg

Even the mods there have addressed the situation by having their AutoMod remove their repository name whenever posted.

I urge all of you out there to spread awareness. The advertisements can sometimes run in background and randomly pop up at times so it will slow down your devices!
