*cough*

mostly, accounts don't have an email attached to them or any personal information whatsoever

Exceptions are logins for services which you can 'manage' your account and then an email may be present.

But I doubt that addresses or credit card details are. Companies are much smarter than that. It's not like oh, I got your login for a game I have your social security number, home address and bank account details now.

So your argument is that it's illegal because you're hacking an account an assume that you could extract personal information from there ?

[off topic]

Also, 'Accounts' for almost for any service/game aren't owned by a user, it's still the property of the company.

E.g. Crossfire an fps

Your account will be and always be owned by the company. You were just provided an account to be able to access their game.

No matter how much you pay via micro transactions or achieve anything in the game. The account is still theirs and the user only got the privilege of using the account.

Using that logic, it's the companies' fault for being vulnerable to simple attacks xD

But yeah, it may be illegal to some extent but in some cases

They're just morally wrong
