Help/Support IDA hacking help?

I've been trying to IDA hack a couple games for instance tiny wings and call of duty zombies waw. I patched the binaries with clutch and moved them to my comp and looked for what I wanted to edit on IDA pro and did so on HEX editor. When I put it into the game files it crashes at start. I changed the permissions to R,W,E on all of them? Am I doing something wrong? Maybe I put the wrong coding I'm not sure I'm new to this and just trying to learn

That seems a little different than what I'm doing, thank you though

How are you making the hack? By just editing the binary?
