General Internet dating. Yes or no?

How do you feel about online dating? To be honest, I tried several times to meet someone in Tinder but after a few days I deleted the app. The girls that I liked for some reason I did not answer, or answered for a very long time. It makes me goat. 
After a while I calmed down and downloaded the program again. Same thing. 
But often from someone I hear people find in Tinder or on Dating sites a girl for one night or even build a serious relationship. 
I want to know how you feel about it? Perhaps someone has had experience Dating in the Internet? Please share, very interesting to compare your experience with others.

The thing I like about online dating is that you can reach out to basically anyone anywhere; the dating pool is bigger as opposed to just being limited to locals. However, long distance relationships just don't work for me because I need the physical intimacy. In my opinion, online dating locally can work if you make plans to meet up soon instead of just texting all day. Personally, I don't use online dating because I need to be friends first before I date someone. So I only use online dating sites to find friends to hangout and see how they are before pursuing anything further.

Thank you for your opinion!  I completely agree cause long distance relationships it's not for me. I want to find someone who lives with me in the same city. So if we have a mutual interest, we can meet. To select a Dating site I use this service - https://hookupmasters.com/
This is where they do reviews on Dating sites. At first glance it may seem useless, but it really saves time. Because as a rule, the sites do not write anything about paid features, and after registration it turns out that you need to pay for viewing profiles, sending messages or there are other restrictions that create inconvenience. It's really convenient.

  This may sound cheesy, but if the love is strong enough, it can always work!

However, on online dating apps, people are  allowed to have very high expectations, or basically “choose” their partner. For example, a woman may only want a man who earns 6 figures and is rockstar for a living on the dating app, which in comparison to real life is very unrealistic. (Not saying all people have such high expectations!) It’s quite an unfair system really. Not to mention, overseas dating is very hard to maintain, and it’s difficult to establish complete trust with someone when you haven’t even met the person. I haven’t really done online dating myself but I’ve looked into it, and it looks like most want specific criteria. (Which I’m not saying is bad, but isn’t what you would have in real life.)

But cons aside, there may be someone who is simply looking for a partner who will love and cherish them, without materialistic expectations. It’s just a matter of time before you find them!

Sorry for the rant, I just found the topic very interesting.
