It's probably Christmas time. The cornucopia of scents and tastes from feasts, snacks, mulled wine, pine and barley. The clean conscience of playing games, reading and other inside activities. And here in my Norwegian shire, when the snow sets in like an indomitable carpet, it becomes a proverbial sound baffling, and you feel at peace in the present.
