  1. Hey guys with Apple's event set to reveal multiple devices, software and more, please use this thread to discuss anything and everything about the new releases... enjoy
  2. This is a really good application, have used it myself and tells you you're battery hogs £1.99 to £0.69 or $3.21 to $1.11 Really good application trust me! #1 top-selling paid utility on the App Store! Normal is a battery diagnosis service that suggests personalized actions you can take to extend your battery life. By aggregating data from hundreds of thousands of users, Normal is able to accurately and precisely pinpoint the battery hogs on your device, tell you whether or not this is also happening to other people, and project by how much time you will extend the battery by killing each hog. Using Normal is simple: Install and run the app, perform any actions it suggests (at your discretion), and watch as your battery life increases! Normal works by collecting generic usage data on your device over time—including what apps are running, what type of device you have, and the battery level—and aggregates it on our cloud platform. Normal then analyzes this data, along with data from all our other users, with proprietary statistical algorithms designed at UC Berkeley’s AMP Lab. The results, in the form of suggested actions and statistics about the battery impact of your apps, are then sent back to you. We take privacy and security seriously (see our privacy policy and EULA at http://kurolabs.co). If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us at [email protected]. Normal is currently only available in English. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/normal-battery-analytics/id886528617?mt=8 Later

  9. Hey there guys, today I'm going to do a tutorial on how to make your own zeppelin logos... If you don't know what Zeppelin is, then you haven't lived. Zeppelin allows you to customize the carrier in your device's status bar, here's an example, this is mine! See That? The status bar has the infamous Heisenberg's face Okay, for today's tutorial you're going to need a couple of things which are: An Image editor, preferably Photoshop or Gimp A Jailbroken iDevice Zeppelin An Idea! Let's dive in! 1) First make sure you have an image editor, if you don't you can download photoshop which is paid (or pirate it) Or download a free image editor called Gimp which you can find here: http://www.gimp.org/ Or if you really can't be bothered to do either of those things, just use paint. God.Help.You ;( 2) Ok, before we go further we need to understand that Zeppelin need 8 images for one logo, these are to accomodate the different circumstances the Device is in, for example being on the home screen would mean a different image to one if you were in an app! These images are going to be named this: black.png [email protected] etched.png [email protected] silver-alt1.png silver.png [email protected] [email protected] Images for retina displays which are images ending in @2 and the normal screen images that end in nothing. Please note that the retina images are twice in size compared to non retina images. Ok, today i'm doing the tutorial for a retina image, so it'll end in @2 right? Yep. 3) At first this might be a lot to take in but trust me, #it'll be alright# Ok, the dimensions for our retina images are 40 by 40 pixels, DO NOT go over 40 pixels for the height but you can go up to 100px for width. For those of you with older devices, the dimensions are 20 by 20 pixels, exactly half. For extra help during this tutorial refer to this for templates: http://www.ijailbreak.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/iJailbreak-Zeppelin-Resource-Pack.zip 4) Ok, within you're favorite chosen editor, create 40 by 40 pixel png images (or 20 by 20) and make 8 of them to accommodate the file names above. For the purposes of this tutorial they can all be the same. Be sure to make it creative! 5) After making these files, pop them into a folder and name it to anything. 6) Now, using a wired or wireless connection ssh into you're device using a filesystem explorer, you need to go to Library/Zeppelin and here you need to paste the folder we created in step 5. 7) Now open the Zeppelin application and navigate to the packages and select you're package and voila! That's it! SIMPLES! Be sure to give me rep for this tutorial and a thanks, I have some more tutorials coming and some hacks so stay tuned

  11. Nice ! Good job! It annoys me sometimes how apple leave specs of their devices so low, you look at say the lg g3 and it rips the iPhone apart @@DiDA apparently it's not
  12. For me, it's always been too slow and slouchy, I think iTools is very quick and gives a lot of information.
  13. Thanks, Got a RollerCoaster Tycoon hack soon and Accelerate X
  14. Thanks !
  15. Cheers DiDA, Would you mind if i posted some of my tutorials to Insanelyi? I'll write that they were initially on here
  16. Yeah sure, you can wirelessly transfer data between your iPhone/Pad/Pod to you're PC using a wireless connection. It's pretty great but transfer times are slow
  17. Fileystems explorers are fantastic for sshing into you're idevice using both Wired & Wireless methods! Here's my list! WinSCP: http://winscp.net/eng/index.php Available for Windows only. A simple but fantastic wireless explorer, could be one of the easiest to use of them all Uses an FTP server. iTools: http://www.itools.cn/itoolsyingwenbanxiazai Available for Windows & Mac, iTools is very new to the scene but has taken to the harsh field like a duck to water, for a clean browser with many additional features be sure to check it out! It is able to give you information about you're device that even iTunes can't even throw up! iFunbox: http://i-funbox.com/ Windows & Mac, iFunbox has probably been around since the stone age and this is probably why it is the most used so far, it adopts a rugged interface which doesn't near as look as pretty as it's counterparts, but it does the job! What's good about this program is that it has an inbuilt appstore which shows discounted apps! In conclusion, well my conclusion, I prefer iTools, it's polished and beautiful interface makes for an easy yet in depth experience in exploring you're device I hope you guys found this interesting
  18. Thanks to the Soul Dev Team , you can install the Operating System OS X Maverick via a few clicks on our Windows machines through the use of VMware. Natively, VMware does not allow the installation of Apple systems, so we will use a fix that will allow us to bypass this little problem. Requirements: A 64 Bit PC OS X Mavericks VMware Workstation A mind no matter how small Below, it will be shown how to install the MAC OS X 10.9 Retail Mavericks on a virtual machine by using VMware 7 or higher. What you need is the software package "Mavericks OS X 10.9 Retail VMware Image" containing the image pre-installed OS and some of the tools made available again from Soul Dev Team , available for download directly at http: //www.souldevteam .net / blog / downloads / . For your convenience, below shows the link where you can get all the information about it and the direct link where you can download the image of the OS: Soul Dev Team: files: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=PsJWZS6x The downloads of the OS is there too. you'll also need this: http://www.vmware.com/products/workstation/workstation-evaluation Alternatively, a simple Google search will allow you to find alternative and valid link to download the file. Once you have everything you need, you must be sure that your machine supports Hardware Virtualization Technology (VT) . Otherwise, you can bypass the VT applying a patch present in the same package downloaded. To check that the option is activated, you can download a tool from the website of the manufacturer of your processor: Intel: Intel ® Processor Identification Utility - http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/highlights/processors/toolspiu AMD: AMD Virtualization ™ Technology and Microsoft® Hyper - V ™ System Compatibility Check Utility - http://support.amd.com/us/Processor_TechDownloads/AMD-VwithRVI_Hyper-V_CompatibilityUtility.zip In the case of Intel, launching the utillity you can check if it is compatible with the hardware virtualization or not If your processor supports VT, restart your computer and enter the BIOS. In the advanced settings (each BIOS is different, refer to your manual for support) make sure that the "Virtualization Technology" is set to Enabled. For the changes to be made properly carried a Cold Restart, turning off the PC and then on again after about ten seconds. In the event that your processor is not compatible with the VT, you can install the patch in the folder "OS X 10.9 Retail Mavericks ImageVMware Image VMware \ VMware Unlocker - Hardware Virtualization Bypasser." In this case, the performance of the virtual machine that we are going to install is not guaranteed. The next step is to patch VMware so that you can install an OS from Apple. Run as administrator, the executable "install.cmd" (again in the folder unzipped) located in "Mavericks OS X 10.9 Retail Image VMware \ VMware Unlocker - Mac OS X Guest \". After, you should be able to create a new virtual machine in VMware, you should be able to select the new entry "Apple Mac OS X". At this point, you just need to open the preconfigured VMware image in the folder "OS X 10.9 Retail Mavericks VMware Image \ OS X Mavericks" by simply clicking on VMware on "File> Open". It's 4KB As you can see in the picture below, I have changed the configuration of the virtual machine by increasing the number of CPUs and amount of RAM memory. Do the same depending on the amount of available resources. The Hard disk is the VMDK file in the OS X Mavericks folder, the settings are an example^^ If all the operations are completed successfully, launching the virtual machine OS X Mavericks just created should appear in the configuration screen of the language. After setting up your new OS (you can skip some steps related to the account Apple if you want) you can work as if you were on a Mac. NOTE : settings such as language and time may not be compatible with your selections. In this case, you can modify your system settings once accessed on the desktop and save the changes properly. As a last step, I recommend you install VMware Tools in order to use a larger number of screen resolutions and the Shared Folder option that will serve you in case you want to share files between the host machine and the virtual machine. To do this, load the file "Darwin.iso" in the CD / DVD drive and run the virtual machine. Thank you for reading this tutorial! DiDA, if you like you could make this a sticky Be Sure to give me a thanks and rep :)If you don't understand something please ask
  19. Yeah I will DiDA! Posted it on my iPad so couldn't. I will when on pc. Cheers guys!
