Managed to get the old iOSGodsiAPCracker (FreeIAP) v0.0.1-1+debug working on my iPad 6th Gen running iOS 17.7.2 with Dopamine rootless and ElleKit 1.2.

Had to convert it from rootful to rootless, fix the Cydia Substrate dependency and re-sign the dylib. Tested it in a game and the free purchase actually worked.

Any chance you'd be interested in looking into an official rootless update after you've had a chance to look into it yourself?
