SOOOOO here's how my night went last night. I was on my way home from the beach with wifey and I had been drinking excessive amount of beer. We stopped by Walmart at like 11:00 pm because wifey had to pick some up some food for lunch the next day. When we got there I definitely did not want to fumble around walmart hammered so I stayed in the truck while she went in. After a few minutes I saw a cop pull up so I looked over to see what was going on. The cop had been called by walmart management because some homeless guy was sitting outside the door drunk and calling people names and causing a scene. So after a few minutes the cop comes over to ask me if I saw the incident and to make a statement after he saw me watching this whole thing go down. I agreed and after a minute of talking to him he could smell the alcohol so he asked me if I had been drinking tonight. I told him I was at the beach all day and I had drank like 3 pints of beer less than two hours ago so he asked to see my license. I showed him my license to prove I was old enough to drink and he told me that I needed to take a breathalyzer test. I refused to take one and he said that refusing to take a breathalyzer test is grounds to automatically arrest me and charge me with a DUI. I told him that only applies if I was pulled over and operating the vehicle. He asked me to step out of my truck which wasn't going to happen since I wasn't doing anything illegal. I told him I was waiting for my wife to get some groceries and then come back out. He didn't believe me so he asked me to call her and have her come out. I told him that I was not doing anything illegal and I'm not going to ask my wife to stop shopping just to come out and prove a point. Long story short, the cop sat there for about 45 minutes until my wife came out. She had such a disappointed look on her face and she was like "SERIOUSLY, I leave you alone for an hour and the cops are here"
