I am on iOS 9.3.1. IBackupbot (the latest version) says "restore is complete" but then always returns an error code 17 saying "could not get APP information from device: Could not start com.apple.mobile.notification_proxy!" If anyone could help, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

You can try to follow the steps in the following link: http://howtoiosinfo.blogspot.com/2015/08/how-to-installapply-hacks-posted-in.html Worked for me. It's working. Just needed to really uninstall the app, reinstall it, let the app download new content, and then exit the app from multitasking. Worked perfectly fine now. Thank you.

I downloaded the DIY pp.dat and used it but Escape Root is still locked. Was it supposed to be still locked? Kindly advise. Thank you.
