Hey guys, today Imma show you how to create this ice text effect, This is really easy! [Credits to some guy on Lynda for finding this!] [hide] 1. Save this image > http://i.imgur.com/QdfI3MJ.jpg?1 2. Open the image in PS 3. Add Text in any font preferably a blocky and bold one, like "Myriad Pro" (Bold) 4. Make sure the text takes up the whole canvas 5. Make a new (empty) layer, and select both that layer and the text layer, and with the marquee tool (M) in your hand, right click on canvas and hit [Convert to Smart object] 6. Now go to [image>Image rotation>Flip 90. CW] 7. Now (With the smart object layer selected), go to [Filter>Stylize>Wind] and leave settings to default which should look kinda like this Method=Wind Direction= From the Right (Also if you are using PS CC (the latest version after CS6, then you should have another option saying something like rounded or something, select that! For those who dont have it, it still works! 8. Now go back to filters and aply this filter 3 more times (4 times in total) [Or press Ctrl+F] and hit [<-' Enter] (Press it 3 more times as this basically lets you apply the filter you last applied 9. Now go to Filter>Other>Minimum and the settings should look like this Radius=5 px 10. Now make a new layer and select the previously made smart object, and select the new layer and the smart object layer, and THEN again make a smart object (Basically repeat step #5) 11. Now go to [image>Image rotattion>Flip 90. CCW] 12. Now Aplly these effects to the Smart Object Layer (By double clicking it and following these steps) 1st were gonna set the [bevel&Emboss] Heres how the settings Under the bevel and emboss tab should look like: Style:Inner Bevel Technique:Smooth Depth: 150 Direction: Down Size: 40 px Soften: 0 px Shading: Angle= 30 Altitude=30 Use Global Lighting [Yes] Gloss Contour set to [Ring] Anti Aliased [Yes] Highlight Mode= Linear Dodge (Add) Set color to pure white (#ffffff) Opacity= 100 Shadow mode= Linear Burn Set color to (#004654) Opacity= 50 Now go texture under Bevel and Emboss, and click on the texture, to open the texture panel Now hit the little setting icon on the right of the dropdown and, and once you click it a bunch of options should pop up Choose "Patterns" which is the option a little to the end, Now some warning should pop up, Click "Append" Now If you hover your mouse over the textures, itll tel you its names, So we need to Find "Molecular" Once you find that, click it and type in these settings: Scale: 500 Depth:10 Link with Layer [Yes] Now go to Drop Shadow and put these in Blend Mode: Multiply and color to this (#004654) Opacity= 100 Angle= 30 Use Global Light [Yes] Distance=20 Spread=0 Size=40 Leave the rest to default! 13. I know I dont usually hang out a lot on this side of the forums, but I decided to make a tutorial on the different ways you could remove a watermark from a stock photo There are many different ways to do this including, photoshop and non-photoshop ways (video included too for the photoshop {made by me} tutorial to guide the noobs and semi-noobs ) There will also be a way to do this with another awesome program which you can see after you hit that like button Hit that Like button 1. Ask Mr. Google : Now incase if you didnt already know, google is the reason why mankind still exists on this plantet All you have to do is ask uncle http://google.com "Mr. Google, may I have an un-watermarked version of this picture, and voila there it is If you are still confused (which u most likely are) First find the picture you want to remove watermark from. Then right click on it and hit "save image" and save it wherevert u want [This works on Chrome and Firefox, I dont know about any other browser ) Then go to http://google.com and click on images. Then click the small camera icon next to the search bar. And hit "upload an image" Select an image to upload, and then hit search... Now browse through the different pages to find a un-watermarked version of the image YOU COULD SIMPLY DO THIS IN CHROME BY RIGHT CLICKING THE PICTURE, AND CLICKING "SEARCH IMAGE ON GOOGLE" Couldnt find it? Move onto step 2 2. Download this extension for CHROME https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tineye-reverse-image-sear/haebnnbpedcbhciplfhjjkbafijpncjl Then find the image you want, and right click it. Then click "search with TinEye"... Now this should load MANY pictures likes your, theres a great chance that you will find the picture you want un-watermarked IF not, you will find images extremely similar to yours, which you can save by opening and right clicking and hitting "save image" What if you couldn't find it Then move to Step 3:) 3. Photoshop Watch this -> Also a good way is to learn how to use clone and stamp tool in photoshop, google it and watch some tutorials [i made a tutorial on this, its just Im having trouble uploading it but if u really wanna learn I reccomend u click that follow button on top of this topic to keep up to date with anything new 4.
