Help/Support Any way to recover disabled jailbroken iphone without updating?

I just have to figure out the IP address, since as it is now the computer doesn’t recognize it/ it asks to trust it before using and I can’t trust it without opening it. I have a few guesses, (only have to figure out last few numbers) but am hoping I can get my landlord to find it on his network so I don’t have to guess a bunch of times.

Edited to add: not sure if it’s possible tho to get past the SEP. Going to try when I can and if not will use that article.

Why don’t you use software like ipscanner on pc....it wil show ip of all connected devices better then randomly guessing....and if you have android device you can use ping... best of luck

Unfortunately the WiFi isn’t controlled by me, but my landlord. Would it work even if I’m not the admin of the network?

I just got my computer back that I originally backed up the device on so may just try to restore/ update to 12 before they stop signing 12.0.1, that way I will have a device ready to jailbreak when one comes out. I’ve never bricked a device from a tweak I’ve made, I doubt I really need the extra iOS 11 test device.

I’m trying to connect to SSH before restoring to see if there is a way to salvage before erasing everything and losing jailbreak. I always used putty and the IP address of device. Do u know how I can connect using localhost?

I also updated impactor and got the full device identifier but it has a “?” before it. I noticed Impactor has a “bridge” option that looks like a way to connect via SSH.

and yeah it’s still currently jailbroken...

Edited to add: iTunes is not recognizing the device, possibly because I deleted it at one point and reinstalled when I was having issues with the Keyboard and mouse. In a tutorial for fixing that erasing iTunes was one of the possible fixes. I finally fixed the keyboard and mouse not working by correcting registry errors. I just hadn’t used this computer for a while since the keyboard stopped working while in windows and using on screen keyboard was annoying as fûck.

I have Putty and Cygwin both installed. I just haven’t connected using SSH directly through the USB in a really long time and forget how.

iFunBox doesn’t recognize the device so I can’t use any of those options. Thinking maybe just best to give up, wipe device and update to 12 if iTunes lets me Once putting it in recovery mode. I think the “disabled connect to iTunes” is preventing even SSH. Also I imagine Apple is gonna stop signing iOS 12.0.1 soon so might as well have a device ready to try a new jailbreak when one comes out. 12.1 apparently messes up remount.

Oh yes it works even if you’re not admin of wifi but you need to be connected to same wifi in your bricked iphone amd the device from which you are going to use ipscanner(desktop) or ping (android or lower pre-ios 11 device)

and after finding IP address I think you should give ted2 idea a try, technically it should work.

Am I late for the rescue?

Wound up just using this guide, restoring and updating to 12.0.1, so I have a device ready whenever a new JB comes along. Was afraid Apple was gonna stop signing soon and didn’t have enough free time to keep trying ways to rescue a jailbreak I hardly use. I’m still happy with 11.3.1, have theos on it (never developed from disabled device so didn’t lose any project data.) After restore iCloud brought back my apps and data so didn’t really lose anything but an older jailbreak.

Having fun exploring iOS 12 features. Thx for the help.
