Is this for a Hex editor? Where can you regex in modding tools?

I may have put a wrong title. This post is supposed to be showing beginners and coders/modders alike, how to use regex to search for something. This is not %100 dedicated to modding but, can be used for it. Anyhow, for example: I'm searching for any code with X,Y, or Z I would type /[XYZ]code\.js/ which would search for Xcode.js, Ycode.js, and Zcode.js

If this tutorial if off or the title is off, and you decide to delete it; that's completely fine. (If it's confusing & not a help, I wouldn't want it on here anyway).
