Help/Support Restore 8.3 backup to 8.2

Hi,

 

I made the biggest mistake and I updatet to 8.3.

Now I want to downgrade but I need my data.  After the restore I tried to restore my backup but it says my firmware on my phone is too old and I must update to be able to restore my backup.

Right now I have to set it up as a new iPhone and I can't get my old files back.

 

What can I do?

I need to restore 8.3 backup to 8.2 .

What @hackios is saying is that restore/update your device back to iOS 8.3 then restore from backup. Downgrade back to 8.2 but this time use SHIFT+Update instead of Restore then select 8.2 IPSW. This way your data/files will be intact. I think this method will work. Give it a shot.

After I updated to 8.2 with SHIFT+Update I can't restore any backup because all backups are made on 8.3.

Damn. Apple really are fixing almost everything. Try using iTools to backup your 8.3 [not sure if iTools already fully support 8.3, just check].

 

Restore again to 8.3 with the backup. Then backup your device with iTools. Downgrade to 8.2 & restore backup from iTools.

still not working.

1. Itools is not making full backups.

2. After downgrade I still have that -1.
