Yeah but the thing is, you can't see if you're in a rock or not except if you take X-RAY off and do a 360 view

Sometimes you can tell by the shadow it makes on the ground. Or yes, you can turn Xray feature off so you can see your surroundings. Most useful in the end game I assume. Although both features are useful to see where your enemies are and to hide yourself or to give yourself and advantage over them.
