Help/Support Apps require iOS 7/8 - iPod 4

7Hey guys yesterday my frnd gve me his ipod 4 , whenever i try to install anything a pops up appear ( REQUIRE IOS 7 ) but i cang get higher IOS on ipod 4

I think you need to upgrade your phone...

You can probably bypass this by editing a system file and changing your iOS version to 7.1.2.

well coz the app you are downloading requires iOS 7. in simple words, the app are too new for your old iPod 4

Even if you mange to bypass it by changing the system iOS version & manage to install the app, still the app will not work [mostly will crash upon opening] because the architecture is different. The app is coded to run iOS 7 & your device is running iOS 6.

Anyway, to answer your question on how to bypass. You must be jailbroken & have iFile installed. Navigate to /System/Library/CoreServices & look for a plist file SystemVersion.plist [located at the bottom]. Open SystemVersion.plist as Property List Viewer & edit your iOS version in ProductVersion. Reboot if necessary. This trick may break your iOS 6 untethered jailbreak.

you can get the IPA of the app and modify the MinimumOSVersion by opening the Info.plist in the .app folder of the IPA file.

Ipod cant go higher then IOS 6.1.6

If it's an app you haven't downloaded before and it has older versions you can download it through iTunes first then install it on your device, this works most of the time if the app is still compatible with older versions.
