Accidentally Building Electricity Generator on Tower Location

Hi, I accidentally building electricity generator on tower location, I was using a modded version. I thought it was meant to be built on location, now I can't finish it or add components to it. I can't even remove it or take it back to inventory. Although my game progress seems to be fine, I can play as usual, I just thought I will never be able to place another generator on that location, means I'm going to be stuck on these locations only. Help.

Just leave it there, go home and craft another, add parts at home and complete the Genny at home, then put the genny on the chopper and go to the tower and place it in front of the tower.

It lets you place it where you want, you can not add parts and build if you place it away from your shelter !

When you craft the Genorator it is not yet built, to build and completely finish you need to place the Genorator on the ground and add the parts required. 

While the Genorator is crafted only, you can place it where you want to, I don't know why it lets you but you can place it anywhere, you just can not add part to build it unless it's placed on the ground at your shelter.
