Help/Support How can I remove the forgotten passcode on my iPad without having to update to iOS 10?

[Fadexz 5.7k iPhone X 14.3]

The device is on iOS 9.2.1 and I want to jailbreak it, unfortunately the passcode was forgotten but I want to stay on iOS 9.2.1. How can I keep the version and access the device?

What are the ways I can restore without updating?

I heard you can use Find My iPhone to restore the device to the same version just erase the content. Is that the only way?
