SSH to iPhone problem (Putty)

So I am trying to use ssh on laptop just for the sake of having something bigger to work with rather than my tiny i6s screen. However I installed openssh on my phone, downloaded putty, input my ip via my network from settings. And all I get is a black screen? Terminal ssh via phone works no problem though. Any suggestions?

Have you plugged in your phone to your computer to connect. Have you logged in from the PC yet?

User: root

Pass: alpine

I have not logged in via PC yet, I was trying but just get black screen when attempting. I have already changed the default pass from my iPhone.

I will try to connect my phone and connect.

EDIT: Connected phone to pc and tried but still black screen when attempting to ssh(terminal loads up black and stays that way for no matter how long i leave it sit)

Download:

dropbearswitch (from Julio Verne repo)

and

FlipSwitch

and

FlipControlCenter (for dropbearswitch to show up in Control Center.)

With this your able to turn WiFi ssh on and off.

Not sure if I'm completely oblivious to what the ... I'm doing wrong but with these all installed I'm still getting that blank(black) terminal screen with the still green cursor. Unable to type.

Uninstall OpenSSH. (Doesn't work with iOS 10 Yalu)

Open Control Center and left swipe the row at top. You should see a SSH icon.
