Why use cracked IPA?

What's the point of using a cracked IPA that is free in the app store? I'm looking to mod a game was wondering if cracked IPA has anything to do with it

If you're using it for the sole purpose of just playing, then there's no point. However, if you're modding, tampering or hacking, it would be better if it was cracked.

I cracked a few apps that were taken off the App Store and no longer available only through my purchased. You can also use it for giving people paid apps for free without an Apple ID to use the app, they just have to use Cydia Impactor to install the app.
