Greetings! We're back online!

The site was down for a much needed update. This scheduled update, in particular, took rather long because our community was being upgraded from the old IPS3 to the latest and greatest IPS4!

IPS4 was released over a year and a half ago, and as new updates got released, each contained their own set of bugs. A lack of optimization and customizations, such as plugins and applications, were a major reason as to why we didn't rush it. IPS4 is now stable enough to the point where features have been vastly improved. That means things like optimization, and even plugins that we're currently using, are now compatible with the latest version. That makes now the perfect time to upgrade!

IPS4 has plenty of new features compared to its predecessor and we can't wait for you to venture out on your own and discover what's new. However, before doing so, we'd like to mention a few "core" features of the new software here in this topic! They are in no particular order. These are just some that might come in handy.

INFRASTRUCTURE: IPS4 features a completely new framework. Which makes everything run smoother and cleaner. Everything you see has been rebuilt and redone from top to bottom. Including notifications! Now, on IPS4, notifications are bundled with your browser. Which means, if someone quotes you, or you receive a new PM and you don't have iOSGods opened in your browser, now you will automatically receive a small notification at the bottom right corner of your PC's browser.

Or if you're already on the iOSGods tab, a new notification bubble will appear without the need to refresh the website.

Of course, said feature & notification settings can be customized to your liking.
PROFILES 2.0: We also have a redesigned user profile which is quite like what you're used to right now, but even better! You'll see once you start editing your profile.
THEMES: On IPS4, our Staff has been hard at work customizing our new theme. While it has similarities to our old theme, there are many front-end and backend adjustments made to it. For example, you can now change the color of the theme to your liking! Each user can have a color of their own and see iOSGods how they like it. This includes the header images! To start, simply make sure you're logged into your account and click the Paintbrush or the Camera/Image icon at the top, next to your name, and select from the provided header images and forum colors. We will of course add more in the future based on feedback! This is quite a nice feature which we believe you'll absolutely love!
RELIABILITY: The new CKEditor. The editor on IPS4 has been completely revamped. It fully supports all devices, including iPhones & Android. Something which our old editor didn't do quite well. It saves your previous content so you don't accidentally lose it and it even asks you what you'd like to do once you paste a certain link or formatted content. Oh, and now it can automatically embed image links as soon as you paste the link. Howbow dah?
AWARDS 2.0: The new iAwards for IPS4 has been greatly improved. Now adding the highly requested feature which allows users to choose which awards they want to show on their profile beside their posts. Some awards are even automated now. Which means you no longer have to keep requesting them over and over again!
SECURITY: Security has also been amped up by a lot. IPS4 now features 2-Step Authentication which you can use to secure your account even more!
STAYING UP TO DATE: The new Activity Stream. This replaces the old and never used "View New Content". You can now make your own custom stream and customize it to your liking. Meaning if you only want to see topics from 1 or 2 forums, you can now do that. Or if you only want to see new hack releases, you can do that too!
NEW REP SYSTEM: Do you remember when members used to ask us "Why is there no award for the amount of thanks?". Well, on IPS4, there will be no more "thanks" button. Thanks button has now been replaced with the built-in reputation system. Meaning, if you like someone's post which has hidden content, your like will automatically reveal the hidden content. We've taken it a step further and made it so the user can either reply or like the post to reveal the hidden content!
NEW DEFAULT AVATARS: Did you ever get bored of seeing the same old default profile picture users had when they never update their profile? Well not anymore! Each user now has a unique profile picture based on the character(s) of their Display Name. Works similarly like you've seen on Google+ & YouTube.
SUPPORT SYSTEM 2.0: Help & Support sections have been revamped with the new Question & Answer display. You can go ahead and check out the new changes to that section right now!

*And other new features which we could mention inside this topic but that would make it way too long! We hope you like and enjoy IPS4 just as much as we do.

**We know that not all of you will approve of the upgrade. However, the reality is that IPS3 is going to stop getting updated rather soon, which means we'll be running into more and more problems as time goes on. To prevent that from happening, we as staff have come to a decision that now is the perfect time to commit to the upgrade.

There might also be the occasional bug that might have slipped under our extensive testing over the past few months, and if you happen to catch one, or if you just want to give us suggestions as to what else we can add to make the site even better, feel free to let us know in this topic.

as you know it is a total change from scratch in the user interface for me , it will take some time to adjust , see all the tons of new stuff and settings . otherwise its dope

and the fact that you got a macbook up on that logo
