(Jailbroken ios 9.3.3) OTA update option stopped working.

 

When I go to Settings>Genereal>Software Update   it just says "Checking for Updates" forever and never finds a new update.

I tried looking at my hosts file and the hosts file looks normal.

Please tell me what I can try without upgrading to the newest version.

I also tried doing a full restore to the current version of ios that I'm already on (9.3.3) but I keep getting error 3194 in Itunes. I also do not have shsh blobs to do a restore with. Maybe, since I am jailbroken, someone could tell me what files to modify.

Same thing happens to me, go on the itunes software on a computer, plug in your device and a new update notice should appear.

For jailbroken devices, OTA is disabled by Apple or the Jailbreak (not really sure which side...)

If you want to update, you have to do it through iTunes.

 

Keep in mind that if u do, you will lose your jailbreak

Well, to start off, if you have used iCleaner in cydia or some type of cleaning application, your OTA software update function is deleted until a new update comes out (or forever, i'm not sure). What you can PROBABLY do is find one of the signed versions on the internet and download that to your computer. Then, software update using itunes. If you are considering leaving jailbreak, be sure to delete all of your tweaks first.

First, the OTA is disabled by the jailbreak. It was like this for every other jailbreak.

 

Second, what are you trying to do? Are you trying to upgrade to iOS 10 from your jailbrake? Or are you trying remove you 9.3.3 jailbreak.

Oh, I didn't know OTA is disabled when you jailbreak, that explains it. I just thought that something broke in my phone because OTA update wasn't working.
