we need little more information, when did it come and what have you downloaded before it came. maybe its from the theam youre using on your iphone4 =)

That icon means that iPhone is able to use a TTY device. This function is off by default, and if you want to turn it off or on, go to Settings > Phone > TTY.

Well, that's a bit strange?

Do you maybe have any tweak installed which triggers that? Have you tried rebooting or Safe Mode to make it go away?

If you want to remove it using a Tweak, install Cloaky then go to Settings -> Cloaky -> StatusBar -> TTY
