So I've made a change to a binary file and now I want to save it.

I click on 'Save' but what that does is create a new file with the extension '.i64'.

How do I save a binary file? :/

Edit > Patch program > Apply to input file

If you want to reverse it later (dont close IDA, copy paste binary and test, then if its wrong then press revert changes in the menu)

Also, save a backup always.

While editing hex within IDA, you should always take a "snapshot" from view menu to reverse your edits
