Help/Support I can't figure out how to execute Python scripts from IDA and I want to punch the wall

I got a windows pc for christmas. I keep getting the same error when importing a python script file into IDA: 1: Function declaration is expected

If anyone knows how please tell me. I'm going insane. I have been trying for two and a half hours.

That's easy to fix in my opinion! Had the same damn problem. Ill retrace the steps I took and tell you

SOLUTION:

- Uninstall all pythons or don't if you don't care about your SDD/HDD space.
- Install IDA again and make sure to select the box (install python).
- Now try in IDA again importing the script.py 

It'll be like this:

If anyone has the same issue and gets directed to here, I won't leave you in suspense. Fixed it for Caroline_, the issue is the dumper she was using.
