DFU restore and set up as new..

The problem is due to jailbreak leftovers in the iTunes backup.

Do you know specifically what these files are?

 

Can't you just make an iTunes backup, unencrypted, then use programs like iFunBox and iTools to modify the backup before you restore it?

 

I would rather take the time modifying my backup than to restore fresh.

Backup to iTunes

Restore

Get the backup again.

 

Just did it myself

Hrm, so a direct upgrade was causing some sort of issue, or maybe that because we're not jailbroken, this new backup removes some of the triggering files/executables?

 

I'll try this in a few moments once I finish smoking some cannabis. I'll reply with my findings.
