DiDA informed me that Dropbox, Linkedin, the Opera browser, as well as several other sites were recently hacked. You can read up on them by clicking on the links below. So this topic is simply for those that may not follow up on tech news/who might miss these types of hacks.

We just wanted to put it out there so you all can take the appropriate steps in re-securing your accounts by changing your passwords whether you are affiliated with said websites or not.
 
And if you use the same password throughout multiple accounts, we would suggest that you changed those as well to be unique to avoid further issues.

Overall, more and more popular sites are getting hacked now a days, so this is a daily reminder that you should constantly be changing your passwords every ~month or so. Also, click on the link below to see which types of passwords you should AVOID at all times because those are the ones that are going to get cracked the fastest.

It's not just Dropbox. All big sites are getting targeted now. This topic is to let you know that you shouldn't keep the same password for every website in order to stay safe.
