If you want to get into torrent sites I suggest looking at opentrackers.org. They list some of the trackers that are having open registration. Some trackers have open registration at random times and are actually pretty solid. I joined BeyondHD as well as a couple of others and they have really good quality releases. The only issue with sharing private BT sites is that they often do ban if they see various IPs accessing the account, which is why many are hesitant to share them.
