[TUTORIAL] How To Torrent Safely

Over the years, many people torrent, but not safely. There are many precautions to be taken to ensure you are safe and untraceable online.

 

1) VPN. Virtual Private Network helps to almost tunnel your connection to your torrent and prevent from your ISP from what is being downloaded and where it is being downloaded from. Some VPNs:

2) Seedboxes. These are basically your servants, they download the torrent, so you don't have to. Some more info:

3) Don't seed. Seeding is basically hosting parts of the torrent to others who want to download it. It's unsafe and means that you're basically torrenting 24/7.

 

4) Remove unwanted trackers, only allow trackers from the site you are torrenting from track your torrent. This can be changed in the Advanced section of a torrent in Utorrent. e.g.

If i was torrenting from 'Demonii' i would leave the tracker, however as you can see there is a confusing tracker above it, so delete it and only share what you are doing with the source of the torrent

I use qBittorent! It's better than uTorrent or BitTorrent and it's completely annonymous! Plus, you can stream torrents while downloading using your favorite media player!
