General Apps like truecaller

Our region of the Appstore is literally spammed by apps like Truecaller and i just wondered, do they have the right to display a person's name to the general public without taking a permission to do so ? I wanted to delete my name from the database of one of them because it was really offensive to me i had to pay like 1.99$ for it to happen. I haven't checked my number on they others because i didn't want to waste more money on this nonsense.

 

So i was wondering is it against apple's privacy policies, and if its not how does apple justify it ?

I think it would be better if you'd report the app in the App Store to Apple and tell them this. Many others complain that they went into the spam database and get spam calls or something.

 

If they ask for money to remove your information, then it's something I'd stay away from.

its insane !

Its not one or two, there are like 30 apps that are like this and if i want to delete my name of every database it will cost me like 60$. I don't think that's fair

It's obviously not. You should report it to Apple. This thing shouldn't be a thing.

Thanks for sharing, I use truecaller premium version at techbigs. Here they offer both truecaller free app premium and gold versions which are completely free.
