Android APK Installation Questions

Why do I get "App not installed" or "Application not installed" on Android?

The App not installed error usually happens when Android cannot install the APK on your device. This can happen for several reasons:

• The original Play Store version is already installed. Uninstall the Play Store version first, then install our version.
• The app signatures do not match. Android does not allow one APK to overwrite another APK if both versions were signed differently.
• You downloaded the wrong APK for your device. Some apps require ARM64, a specific Android version, or a specific APK format.
• Your device does not have enough storage space. Free up storage and try installing again.
• The APK file is incomplete or corrupted. Delete the file, download it again, and try installing once more.
• The app requires a newer Android version. If your Android version is too old, the app may not install.
• The app is a split APK, XAPK, APKM, or APKS file. These formats may require an installer that supports that file type.

Can I install an iOSGods Android app over the Play Store version?

In most cases, no. You usually need to uninstall the original Play Store version first because our version and the Play Store version are signed differently.

Please note that uninstalling the Play Store version may remove local save data if the game does not sync progress online. Make sure your progress is linked to Facebook, email, transfer code, cloud save, or another supported login method before uninstalling.

Why does Android say the package conflicts with an existing package?

This means another version of the same Android app is already installed on your device. Uninstall the existing version first, then install the APK again.

If you have a cloned app, duplicate app, old version, or modified version installed, remove that too before trying again.

How do I allow Android to install APK files from unknown sources?

When opening an APK file, Android may ask you to allow installs from your browser, downloads app, or file manager.

You can usually enable this permission here:

Settings > Apps > Special app access > Install unknown apps

The exact setting location may be different depending on your Android version and device brand.

Do I need root to install Android apps from iOSGods?

What is an XAPK, APKM, or APKS file?

XAPK, APKM, and APKS files are package formats that may contain the base APK, split APK files, OBB files, or extra app data.

If the download is provided as XAPK, APKM, APKS, or split APK, you may need to use an installer that supports that format. The default Android package installer may not be able to install these files correctly.

How do I install an XAPK, APKS, APKM, or split APK file on Android?

Use an installer that supports the file format you downloaded. Open the installer, select the downloaded XAPK, APKS, APKM, or split APK file, and follow the on-screen installation steps.

If Android asks for permission, allow installs from that installer app:

Settings > Apps > Special app access > Install unknown apps

Can I install an XAPK file manually without an installer?

What is ARM, ARM64, x86, or x86_64 on Android?

These terms refer to your Android device CPU architecture:

Why is Facebook login not working in an Android app?

Facebook login may not work in some modified Android apps because the app signature is different from the official Play Store version.

Try the following:

• Uninstall or disable the Facebook app temporarily.
• Open the game and try logging in through the in-game browser popup.
• After login is complete, reinstall or re-enable the Facebook app.

If Facebook login still does not work, the app may not support Facebook login in the modified version.

Why is Google login not working in an Android app?

Google login may not work in modified APKs because Google can check the app signature. Since our version may be signed differently from the Play Store version, Google login can fail.

Can I transfer my progress from the Play Store version?

This depends on the game and login method.

Why does Google Play Protect show a warning?

Google Play Protect may warn about apps installed from outside the Play Store, especially if the app has been modified, signed differently, or is not recognized by Google.

Read the warning carefully and decide whether you want to continue. Only download apps from trusted iOSGods topics and avoid files shared by random users or outside links.

What should I do if Play Protect blocks the install?

If Google Play Protect blocks the install, Android may not allow the app to be installed on your device.

What is an OBB file on Android?

Where do I place OBB files on Android?
