Hey iOSGods,

Supercell has mentioned today that they will take fair play more seriously and start a mass ban soon. The mass ban will ban those it detect using hacks, "mods" (xmodgames), and bots on Clash of Clans, Boom Beach, and Clash Royale (Hay Day is currently unknown.) IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE BANNED, THEN UNINSTALL ALL YOUR UNAUTHORIZED MODIFICATIONS.

Official Announcement: http://forum.supercell.net/showthread.php/1102359-Encouraging-Fairplay

The official FAQs:

Q: Why did you initiate a mass ban?

A: To keep our games safe and fair for everybody.

Q: Why now? Hasn't this been going on for a while?

A: We've always taken action against players utilizing 3rd party software. Advances in tools have given us the chance to be more proactive than ever. We intend to do more in the future.

Q: What if I used Mods in the past, but not anymore? Will I be banned?

A: Nope. Only accounts currently using 3rd party software will be affected.

Q: Will everyone be banned at the same time?

A: Not really. The Ban will roll out in stages.

Q: How do you detect modified accounts?

A: Psychic octopus.

Q: What if someone's banned accidentally?

A: Our systems are robust, false positives may still be positive. We will swiftly reverse any mistakes done.

Q: Will players with jailbroken, or rooted devices be banned?

A: Nope!

Q: What if I use Bluestacks or other emulators? Will I be banned for that?

A: No, but for practical support related purposes, we encourage you not to use them.

Q: When will you be banning people?

A: Bans will be ongoing, beginning in the coming weeks.

Q: I stopped using 3rd party software a while ago, but I was still banned?

A: Only accounts that indicate recent ‘mod’ or ‘bot’ activity are banned. As mentioned in our Fair Play message – any previous abuse before our Fair Play message released would not result in disciplinary action.

Q: How are you detecting 3rd party software? Is my privacy at risk?

A: Privacy is a top priority for us and we only collect information in compliance with applicable data collection and privacy laws. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information.

Q: Can Supercell see what’s on my device?
A: No. We can only see if our games are being changed.

Q: I used a mod only for other games, but still got banned?
A: You will not face consequences if you have not used any 3rd party apps to “change the gameplay.” Only you know for sure if your MOD does this or not.

Q: What permissions does Clash of Clans require for Android devices?

A: Please read more here.

Thanks for reading, and have a nice day!
