Also, most (or some. I haven't done any statistics) Jailbreak developers are "underage" themselves. Some are still in school and developing Cydia tweaks is like a hobby for them. Some also use the money they receive from the tweaks to pay for their school, medical expenses or to simply support their families.

this is very true and I didn't exactly look at age statistics(Or even consider them) but the main point of this whole situation is that we're just destroying ourselves little by little by discouraging all the 'Good' devs. I'm just telling everyone that if we want a community we should stop as a whole, or maybe just reduce if that's the most we can get out of it. We shouldn't make excuses to say stealing tweak developers content is okay. I honestly don't care if anyone on the forum continues to pirate, just know the consequences of your actions.

I think this is a 50/50 debate some tweaks deserve the $1 asking price where as some don't

 

I personally download a pirated tweak and test it out first then if it's good I uninstall it and buy the tweak for use. I think there should be more demo tweaks and for the hard working people creating the tweaks to spend a little extra on the tweak to secure it from piracy.

I wouldn't mind if the developers asking for money would support those without credit cards or PayPal by coding up some sort of system that relies on Google AdSense (gain money per click(s))or a certain number of sponsored surveys (that will legitimately end without the user paying anything but his/her time) as a source of income....then finally, the user would legitimately get the download link. This would seem like a win-win situation for both user and dev; dev gets revenue for his/her hard work, and the user gets the legitimate hack.
