General Debug menu?

What in the world is a debug menu? I've been across a couple of topics which people have talked about enabling the debug menu and how fun it was when they could do that does anybody know what a debug menu is or what a debug menu looks like in action?

DebugMenu was used by the devs to test out their game. 

 

It's similar to  IGMM.

A debug menu can be something inside the app for developers to test the app.

 

Eaxh Debug Menu is different for each game. The developers add it to the game themselves and it's not meant for the public.

The function is usually found an activated inside the binary.

 

But sometimes it's even easier by doing a set of specific actions and gestures that only the developer should know, it pops up.
