so for some reason, my tweak compiles fine, but it will not show in the settings.app, that being said what are some common known problems for this? Thank you

Go to /Library/PreferenceBundles/ProjectName.bundle/ and edit the .plist using iFile to see if it works.

 

And sometimes, a reboot might just make it pop up in settings.

What did you change whilst editing the .plist?

Maybe the tweak is a tweak and not a patcher? Maybe the tweak isn't properly set up to be a patcher? If your Cydia substrate is to the latest version, then that's one of the main problems.
