What are you trying to edit? I believe you can't.

Sorry but what you wanna do is not possible cause iOS 8 added way more restrictions regarding file management. You're good with .deb files/save games/ etc.

Well most of it is done with a file manager like iFile or Filza. the pros here post up .deb files, you download them, install them, and you're good to go

The more you interact with them, the more you'll learn and you'll familiarize yourself with how it's done
