Finally you have your own iPhone, and you discovered that iTunes charges at least 99 cents for ringtones to your iPhone, even if there are plenty of songs in your music library already. You wish you don’t have to pay for your songs twice to get a ringtone for iPhone.

 

Download free ringtones on computers and transfer to iPhone

Step 1: Go to these free ringtone sites and browse through the categories to choose the best ringtone to download iPhone ringtone to PC.

Step 2: Transfer the iPhone ringtone downloaded from PC to iPhone.

If you don't want to sync with iTunes, you can simply have a try free PC to iPhone Transfer tool. Such as Free Syncios Manager. First you must ensure that the ringtones that you transfer have an .m4r extension which is a file extension recognized by iPhones.

  1. Connect your iPhone to PC.
  2. Click Media > Ringtones.
  3. Click Import button and choose the ringtone you would like to set as iPhone ringtone

Step 3: Set any song as an iPhone ringtone on your iPhone.

Go to your iPhone, click Settings > Sounds > Ringtone, then you would find the ringtone file you currently imported and set it as your ringtone.

How to Make Your Own iPhone Ringtone?

You can also make your own favorite ringtones for iPhone with audio files in your computer freely and quickly. There are many free iPhone Ringtone Maker Tools.

Step 1: Startup the iPhone Ringtone Maker Tool.

Start Syncios and plug the iPhone to your PC. Click Toolkit menu on the top of window, you will find Ringtone Maker on the left side.

 

Step 2: Select music file to make ringtones.

Now drag and drop the audio file to the panel, or click on Choose button, then get access the audio file or even video file that you want to customize to a ringtone.

Step 3: Set Start and End to the iPhone ringtone.

Choose certain part of the source file and make it as your iPhone ringtone. You can play the song or video, then click Set start button and Set End button to adjust the start and end when playing.

 

Step 4: Choose the output location.

Click on Save to PC button, and select an output folder for the created iPhone ringtone, the audio will be exported to the location you chose.

 

Step 5: Start to make iPhone Ringtone.

If you would like to transfer output track to your iPhone directly, you need to hit the Save & Import button and wait for the ringtone maker app to finish the transferring process.

Step 6: Set any song as an iPhone ringtone on your iPhone.

Go to your iPhone, click Settings > Sounds > Ringtone, then you would find the ringtone file you currently imported and set it as your ringtone.
