Hello,

I dont have that experience on iPhone, but i will explain my issue clearly

First:

iPhone 11 Pro max

ios: 14.8

Uncover v8.0.2

After try to add a repo my get stuck so i do LDrestart but after that Cydia keep crash when it open.

Reboot my device many time, re jailbreak, install Cydia, etc. but no luck to return Cydia to open.

Try to do some trick from internet by Filza such:

Locate and delete the following two files:
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/cydia.list
/var/lib/cydia/metadata.plist

and here by mistake i delete wrong folders (i don't remember exactly but i guess i delete all folder located in "/var/lib/dpkg/updates/" except updates folder).

Issues:

1- I can't rejailbreak now by unc0ver (v8.0.0, v8.0.1, v8.0.2), every time i recieve this message "an error occurred while installing a package from local apt repo".

2. I can't use Restore RootFS from Unc0ver tool to remove the jailbreak, every time get this message "An error occurred while restoring root filesystem" Attached the logs in this post.

What is available solution for this issue with less damage ( mean without need to reinstall the IOS) if i can.

Note: I had save all SHSH files for my phone start from 14.4 to 15.2.1, I case need this at last chance. (I dont know how i can use it but i hear that this files will help me in the future.)

Hey!

Are you able to Jailbreak with just SSH enabled? Or cannot you not Jailbreak at all?

If I remember correctly, Taurine removes unc0ver before Jailbreaking, or at least overwrites most files so your jailbreak may work again. You can use that to possibly Jailbreak then restore rootFS and switch back to unc0ver.

Taurine only supports iOS 14.0 up to 14.3.

This wouldn’t fix is issue.
He could possibly attempt a deep repair of his phone, reinstalling the whole OS from a fresh ipsw I believe.

Unfortunately i am not able to jailbreak at all, and yes you are correct about Taurine as i read also but Tauraine not support A13 with 14.8 i guess.

If you are on IOS 14.3 all you need to do is make sure you are fully backed up to the cloud. Then all you have to do it go to settings, general, reset, and then click erase all settings and content. This will wipe phone so make sure you are backed up. You will then install from the ISPW version you currently are running. You will stay on your current version and not lose anyrhing it will be like you got your phone out of box. So remember to backup what you want to save. Your problems are solved bro. Good luck

Hi bro, thank you for reply and support, but actually this didn’t help, I take a backup and did rest my phone, it removes everything except most of the Cydia apps, it’s still not removed!!. I try this two times but nothing change, so now when I try jailbreak or restore RootFS still I get same error message.
