So I literally just jailbroke my phone. Cydia and everything was installed. But when I opened cydia, it's like loading forever in the "Preparing Filesystem"

any help/advice?

Have you tried rebooting? I don't know if rebooting will cause you more errors so stay put until somebody has a solution.

hmmm very peculiar ios 8.4 jailbreak should be stable by now

This portion of the jailbreak depends on the amount of storage space available and the amount of documents/files you have. This is why you should restore first. But if you don't have a bunch of stuff on your phone, then just let it sit and do its thing.

If it still needs time for it to prepare, give it 30 minutes. If it's not prepared, try quitting it and reopening after a reboot.
