Help/Support Can't delete a Folder (PC)

The folder has already been deleted but you will need to refresh or restart explorer.exe.

You can also try Unlocker, it's a huge help.

I got the problem again And now Unlocker does not work for it for some reason

all you gotta do it just go to run command cmd and type in 

 

cd /d C:\Users\"yourname"\Desktop

 

then type:

 

>dir /x  (there is a space after >dir)

 

then type:

 

type /x

 

(a list of stuff from the directory will pop up but notice on the right side it's the folders of the name on the desktop). type this

 

/q /s "not the name of the folder but the name and letter next to the folder"

 

example: i want to delete folder pron (lmao..)

 

pron~1     pron

 

so i type in /q /s pron~1

Edit: ok Thanh, ima just simplify if for you

 

forget everything above from the previous posts / replies. here's what you should do:

 

1. run cmd (make sure you're running under administration)

2. type this in: cd /d C:\Users\"your username" (i think it was "Thanh Do")\"the directory that you have the folder" (if desktop then just \desktop (etc) )

3. hit enter, then type in "dir /x" without the quotes

4. this will bring up the stuff that is on directory in this case desktop, etc.

5. type in "rm /q /s "and the file name that is shorted ex: TESTED~1" " hit enter

6. BOOOM! the file is now deleted

 

last but not least! be sure to hit that like/thanks button or die > ~~~ lol
