TuT How to install Theos [ SIMPLEST WAY EVER ]

Hello guys, my friend Dan has worked on a great project and it's finaly available to get!

All i did was help him find errors and bugs i guess, he made everything

 

 

Note: MAKE SURE YOUR PASSWORD IS alpine BEFORE CONTINUEING, YOU CAN CHANGE THE PASSWORD BY GOING INTO TERMINAL AND TYPING THIS: passwd THEN TYPE IN alpine (or any other password you want, but make sure its alpine while installing EasyTHEOS.

 

Instructions:

 

.1 Make sure your charger is plugged into your Device incase you would run out of battery!

 

.2 Connect to a safe wifi, prefferably not a public wifi, for example a wifi in a mall.

 

.3 Go into settings and set your auto-lock to Never

 

.4 Make sure all steps above are done.

 

.5 Now open Cydia and add this Repo: cydia.myrepospace.com/f4bul1z3r/

 

.6 On Cydia search: easyTheos

 

.7 Click the one with the latest version, then install it.        note: make sure its publisher is: f4bul1z3r

 

.8 After you installed it click respring, let it respring.

 

.9 When you have respringed your device go into Settigs and scroll down a bit until you locate:   EasyTHEOS

 

.10 after you clicked EasyTHEOS you should see something like this:

 

 

 

.11 It's HIGHLY reccomended you click all the options above to ON.

 

.12 Scroll down until you see this:

 

 

 

 

.13 Now you should be ready to go!   Click 'Install THEOS'   Now a alert window should pop up, just Click Ok

 

.14 Leave the device for 10 seconds - 1 hour, depends if you have a newer device or an older one!

 

.15 When you see a window pop up saying EasyTHEOS, Installation complete.      Click Ok

 

.16 YOU NOW HAVE THEOS, ENJOY!

I unarchived the deb and took a look at the code:

1: I advise that you do not install this the deb without removing theos first. (Failure to do so will produce errors)

2: The posinst script does not contain a hashbang and will not run as intended

3: Numerous scripts in this project do not contain a hasbang will not run as intended

4: One of the said scripts creates unnecessary symlinks that already exist in coolstar's theos fork

Your root password also needs to be "alpine" when you press install.
