We all judge if something’s wet by water, yes? We don’t look at a trash can with no condensation and think “that’s one wet mother f***er” do we? 

We don’t go to the Sahara, slap the dry sand, and think “This is wet as f***”. No, we know it’s dry because it’s hot as f*** and there’s no condensation in the sand particles we feel or air.

Go sit in your bathroom, what do you feel? It’s dry? Turn the shower on the hottest it can be, close the door, and sit there. Watch the condensation take over the whole bathroom. 

You don’t need scientific evidence, you need common sense.

The definition of wet is covered or saturated with water or another liquid. 

Water can stick to itself and other things, when it sticks to itself, we call it cohesion. When it sticks to other things, it’s called adhesion.

A single molecule of water is not surrounded by any other water molecules and therefore is not wet.

Multiple molecules of water bonded/attached to each other would be considered  cohesion(water sticking to itself) and not wet.

Water itself is not wet tho, when it comes in contact with an object, it makes the object wet. It doesn't make itself wet. That's by logic

Water isn't wet by itself, but it makes other materials wet when it sticks to the surface of them.
